🕯 THE STILL POINT #13
Letting Peace Lead First
Letting Peace Lead First
Most of us decide first
and hope peace follows.
Jesus often did the opposite.
He moved from a settled place.
Not rushed.
Not reactive.
Even in conflict, there’s a steadiness about Him.
As if peace wasn’t the outcome.
It was the starting point.
I’ve been learning how different decisions feel
when they begin there.
Not urgency.
Not pressure.
Peace.
Peace doesn’t remove complexity.
It changes how we carry it.
It slows the inner noise enough
to notice what’s actually being asked.
Jesus said, “My peace I give you.”
Not as a reward for right choices,
but as a guide for making them.
Sometimes the question isn’t,
“What’s the smartest move?”
But,
“Where is peace inviting me next?”
What decision are you facing
that might look different
if peace led the way instead of pressure?
